The Farm Team
-
Cosby (Nigerian Dwarf)
Cosby came to the farm in May of 2014 along with his brother Paddington. Cosby is a quintessential mama's boy and will always tattle on his siblings when they're being naughty. On more than one occasion, Cosby has run up to the farm house bleating (the sound goats make) when another goat was either stuck in the fence or in trouble. Goats are pure mischief and sometimes get themselves into precarious situations, so Cosby's loose lips are invaluable
-
Big Marmalade (Giant Floof)
Big Marmalade came to farm in September of 2014 along with his twin brother Slow Marmalade. Big Marmalade runs the farm and watches his herd from Pride Rock on the side of the driveway. Big Marm always lets all of the other cats eat first and stays outside all winter to monitor the perimeters. He does, however, love coming inside and commandeering his favorite bed in the guest room for power naps.
-
Albi (Nigerian Dwarf)
Albi joined the farm in December of 2017 and is the alpha* goat (*ahem, very food-driven). Goats have a very high metabolism which means they're always hungry and Albi is the CEO of dinner. He is a fearless sweetheart and will jump on your car, your bike, your belongings...your person. He has no shame and is frequently referred to as a Tiny Tank, Lawn Dinosaur and Hefty Chonker.
-
Gypsy Rose (Full Size Pony)
Gypsy joined the farm in 2013. She was rehomed from southeastern Wisconsin, where she was by herself for 7 years (white horses in these situations are often called "lawn ornaments"). She now considers herself the "barn mother" and is the first to whinny when people arrive or a goat is being naughty.
-
Yung Gravy
Yung Gravy was first spotted on the farm January 1, 2023 and was the complete opposite of the cuddly Gravy we now know. It took awhile to earn his trust, but once he moved into the music speaker cabinet on the patio, he fully embraced his rapper confidence and became Yung Gravy. He follows Elizabeth everywhere and you might even run into Gravy at the gas station or hiking a trail since he jumps in the truck with her before she can even shut the door. Yung Gravy also acts as a co-therapist for most farm sessions and loves hosting Farm Yoga.
-
Tater Tot (Nigerian Dwarf)
Tater Tot (Jingle's brother) arrived in May of 2024 (born 11/23) for a summer of fun and yoga on the farm. Tater is a lover and wants all the snuggles and pets-especially when going to bed in his special blue kiddie pool filled with hay.
-
Slow Marmalade (Fluffy Sloth)
Slow Marmalade is Big Marmalade's derpy twin brother and a farm favorite: Always sweet and snuggly with a touch of sloth. He came to the farm in September of 2014 and enjoys hiking with Elizabeth (slowly), playing with his "fish on a stick" toy (slowly) and sleeping on the big bed only to get up and meow by the patio door to be let outside at 5am every day (oddly alert). He is a therapy cat and often sits in on sessions outside and inside with clients.
-
Polly Pocket (Mini Pony)
Polly joined the farm in August of 2015 and quickly became the main character. Polly loves snacks and her zoomies. She is also the naughtiest member of the farm since being found by the police for escaping her pen and eating the neighbor's clover patch.
-
Jingle (Nigerian Dwarf)
Jingle (Tater Tot's brother - born 11/23) has always been the sassiest goat of the bunch. He's a skilled tailor and cobbler-always nibbling fashionable holes when you're not looking because he simply can't allow bad fashion to walk right past him. He is a "porch puppy" and frequently sits by the patio door like a dog guarding the house (but really just waiting for pets).
-
Katie Purry (Queen Floof)
Katie Purry is the daughter of Big Marmalade and his lost lover, Oranges the Stray. She was born in March of 2016 and has asserted herself as an indoor and outdoor cat upon demand. Katie's life is one of great mystery and lore: She's survived botulism and once went missing for 9 days only to be found chasing field mice in the neighbor's pumpkin patch. Before she was spayed, she had the most beautiful kittens who were lovingly adopted by local families. Katie has a specific window in the farmhouse that she will meow by to be be let outside. She hates the male cats (even though they're neutered) so she utilizes this secret escape to get in her daily mice chases without stress. She returns home and meows at the window to be let in by 10pm every night and sleeps in the guest room. She's always been skiddish, but snuggles with Elizabeth every morning before leaving to clock field mice and chase birds.
-
Paddington (Nigerian Dwarf)
Paddington joined the farm in May of 2014 alongside his brother and best friend, Cosby. Paddington is the strong, silent type and likes to let Cosby do the talking. Despite being shy, he will risk it all for fresh apples and zucchini.
-
Valentino
Despite his dramatic photo (hence his dramatic name-he always gives that stare), Val is a teddy bear. He came to the farm a skinny, scratched up feral and has slowly become a healthy, sweet tomcat (getting neutered in September). He appeared on Valentine's Day of 2024 and is slowly getting more tame as he has been accepted by the rest of the cat pack.
-
Noodle (The Elder)
Noodle is a ripe boy at the age of 19 human years / 92 cat years. He was originally found in Elizabeth's parent's barn when she was still living in Milwaukee getting her Masters degree. Noodle lived in Milwaukee from 2006-2013 before moving to the farm with his brother Oscar.
Noodle consistently weighs in underweight at the vet (hyperthyroidism is hard) despite being compared to a hobbit and typically on his 2nd breakfast by 10am. He sleeps in the house every night and doesn't go outside in the winter, but loves spending summer days on the porch in his cat condo.
